We want you to be confident buying Burgee Pro. This policy explains our money-back guarantee and how to request a refund.
Purchases are handled by our reseller, Freemius, Inc. (the Merchant of Record), so refunds are issued through Freemius.
1. Money-back guarantee
New Burgee Pro purchases come with a 30-day money-back guarantee. If the plugin isn't right for your club, request a refund within 30 days of your purchase and we'll refund your payment in full — no need to explain why.
2. The free edition
The free edition of Burgee is, and always will be, free — there is nothing to refund. You can try the full core workflow at no cost before deciding whether to upgrade to Pro.
3. How to request a refund
You can request a refund either way:
- From the receipt email Freemius sent you, which includes a refund/contact link; or
- By contacting us through our contact page or at burgee@getburgee.com with your order details.
We'll confirm and process eligible refunds through Freemius.
4. Renewals
Pro is an annual subscription that renews automatically so your license and updates continue uninterrupted. You can cancel anytime from your Freemius account to stop future renewals. To avoid being charged for a renewal, cancel before the renewal date. If a renewal catches you by surprise, contact us within 30 days and we'll work with you in good faith.
5. When a refund may not apply
Refunds are intended for genuine dissatisfaction or accidental purchases. We may decline a refund in cases of abuse — for example, repeated buy-and-refund cycles, or requests made well outside the guarantee window. Because the plugin's code is GPL-licensed, refunds end your license to updates and support, not your possession of the software itself.
6. Processing & timing
Once approved, refunds are issued by Freemius to your original payment method. It typically takes a few business days for the refund to appear, depending on your bank or card issuer.
